Next week, hundreds of IT professionals and top business executives from organizations of all sizes will gather at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, to talk about the myriad ways cloud computing is affecting today’s Business Intelligence practices at the Cloud Analytics Summit.
Among them will be our own Raj Pai, who takes the stage as part of the opening keynote along with Ju-kay Kwek, the product manager in charge of Google’s Cloud Platform Team. Raj and Ju-kay will share their collective insights in a talk entitled “Fulfilling the Promise of Big Data Analysis in the Cloud.”
Claritics has been a huge proponent of cloud analytics since we first launched the company. Even then, we knew that the cloud would revolutionize the data and intelligence industry because it offered—at least in our minds—the only viable way to crunch enormous volumes of data in real-time and deliver it in a meaningful way. We have made the cloud an integral part of our overall business, and it has benefited us greatly.
The social and mobile web contains practically unfathomable amounts of user behavioral data—significantly more than traditional web properties are used to collecting and analyzing. We partnered with Google BigQuery to enable us to process the billions of rows of data we’d be collecting, and to do so in mere seconds. And since the system scales automatically, we knew we wouldn’t have to worry about fine-tuning or adding hardware as data volumes increased. The partnership has been critical to our growth as we’ve added new apps to our portfolio and seen our user data expand exponentially.
In the keynote next week, we’ll share some more of the ways the cloud has enabled us to “fulfill the promise of big data analysis.” It is truly an exciting time in our space, and we are honored to join so many industry visionaries and thought leaders to talk about where we go from here.
