The last few weeks of Fall have been a blur at Claritics, and the engineering team has been working on some really valuable enhancements — enhancements that have so far met with a roaring seal of approval with our ever increasing set of customers.
One such improvement is a set of nifty Cohort Analysis charts that give social and mobile game developers deeper insights into the engagement and return rates of their players — who have been brought on board through the marketing acquisition programs via channels like Facebook Ads, Applifier, Viral Channels, etc.
Now, multiple cohort groups can be analyzed (1 day, 3 day, 7 day, 30 day etc.) and these cohorts can then be further filtered and analyzed by their demographics (Age, Gender, Country) and, most importantly, the channel through which they were acquired.
With these deep insights and actionable analytics, our customers can assess the effectiveness of their player acquisition campaigns on a daily basisĀ and optimize ad spend towards channels that bring in very engaged audiences. Engagement is a first and most critical step towards further monetization in all social and mobile games — and Cohort Analysis is a critical step in measuring engagement in these games.
The other important enhancement is a set of drilldown capabilities that relate to getting better demographic insights into the audience that visits your games — across a slew of metrics like New Players, DAU, Daily Revenues, Virtual Coins Spent, etc. These are simple clicks on any trend chart that make analytic insights a simple click away so that users can spot the reasons behind sudden drops or spurts in game activity, revenues, etc.
Happy Holidays, and stay tuned for even more compelling analytics from us in 2012!
